About to the Exotic Pet and Bird Clinic of New Hampshire

The Exotic Pet and Bird Specialty Clinic of New Hampshire was started in 2001 by Dr. Michael Dutton to serve the specialized needs of pets other than dogs and cats. Dr. Dutton is also founder and owner of the Weare Animal Hospital in Weare, NH.

Pets such as ferrets, birds, reptiles, rabbits and other small mammals have different diets and needs compared to dogs and cats. In fact, a major risk to your exotic pet developing disease is bad diet and management.

Dr. Dutton has been treating exotic pets since 1986 where he served as the primary veterinarian for Bensons Animal Park in Hudson, NH. After Bensons closed, he served as primary veterinarian for New England Exotics, a company that bred exotic pets for the zoological trade. He also served as primary veterinarian for ZooMotion, a company that used elephants in educational settings to discuss loss of habitat in the wild.

Dr. Dutton is a Board Certified Specialist in Avian Practice and Exotic Companion Mammal Practice. He is also Boarded in Canine & Feline Practice.
