Volunteer Veterinary Care for Injured Wildlife

Photo of staff holding an injured owl at the Exotic and Bird Clinic of New England. The owl is treated by the Exotic and Bird Clinic of New England, which volunteers veterinary care for injured wildlife through wildlife rehabilitators, NH Audubon, and the NH Fish and Game Department. Animals treated include bears, bobbcats, eagles, falcons, hawks, owls, mink, opossum, and more.

Dr. Dutton started his career by treating the wildlife at Bensons Animal Park in Hudson, New Hampshire. From that beginning, he has expanded the number of really unusual animals he has treated.

He continues to see the diversity Mother Nature has by volunteering the Hospital’s services to local wildlife rehabilitators, NH Fish and Game, and the US Fish and Wildlife Service.

Animals he has treated include:

  • Bears
  • Bobcats
  • Eagles
  • Elephants
  • Falcons
  • Hawks
  • Herons
  • Lions
  • Mink
  • Opossum
  • Owls
  • Panther
  • Snow Leopard
  • Tigers
  • Wallabies
